a5c7b9f00b Following the events of Batman Arkham City Harley Quinn had gone underground for two weeks recruiting mercenaries from penguins crew, also recruiting Arkham Asylam prisoners from two faces crew and also taking over Jokers spot as leading commander for all of the joker clan goons. Following the recruiting of all the goons, some cops for the GCPD go missing in the industrial district which belongs to Harley. Batman tries to save the missing cops but is captured trying to save comissioner Gordon. Now it's up to Robin to save Batman. Bruce Wayne is taken captive within the facility of Arkham City, a prison built in the abandoned part of Gotham City. After the prison, ran by the mad psychiatrist Hugo Strange, becomes a war zone between his greatest enemies, Bruce must stop everyone who stands in his way as the Batman. The first thing that struck me about Arkham City was the vast detail put into the city. I couldn't help but spin the camera angle around Batman a few times before finally starting out my first mission. This was only a fraction of what took my breath away in this game. You really do feel like you're playing as Batman. Everybody says that, but it's true. Whether its taking on 20 thugs at once in an all-out brawl or picking off armed thugs one at a time, you get that great adrenaline rush that Batman would almost sure have too. The side missions add extra depth and variety. My favorite would probably have to be the Riddler mission, as you pretty have to pretty much play through the whole game to finally take him down. The actual riddles themselves that you have to solve around the city open up these great background stories that explain every last criminal and their stories to you. Aside from the great game-play, the story kept me on the edge too. Will Batman stop Hugo Strange and his plans for Arkham City? I wont tell, but I will say that the ending of the story left me speechless. I highly recommend playing Arkham City. There's a twist around every corner, some great side missions, and the replay value is high. I've replayed it about three times now and have still yet to master it. Great game overall. I ran into a technical glitch where I fell off of the world and kept falling and falling. Finally, after falling for 2 minutes I died and then the game reloaded the last checkpoint– which was me falling– and it did it over and over and over. They should've made an option like Deus Ex: Human Revolution where you can go back two checkpoints and reload. Maybe the next game. Very frustrating. Also, besides The Joker, Harley Quinn, and a few others, the voice acting was weak– especially Batman. Couldn't they have found better voices? Batman sounds like a stiff cartoon amateur. This detracts from the immersion into the game and is the main reason I gave it a 9 instead of a 10. This game should never have been rated a 10 in GameInformer. 9 to 9.25 is more accurate. There are better games out there. However, it is still a great experience overall, if not a bit frustrating in areas.
